Fun websites, picked by hand

Every site behind the button was visited by a person and written up in a sentence or two. Nothing here was scraped from a list.

Some are toys you can play with for a minute, and some are places that take an afternoon. A few are jokes a stranger put on the internet years ago and has kept paying for.

The catalog runs to 977 sites. The button draws from all of them, and six are listed below so you can see the kind of thing it finds.

Six to start with

• Koalas to the Max toyOne enormous dot splits into smaller dots wherever you move the mouse, and several thousand dots later a koala is looking at you.
• Weave Silk toyDraw in glowing symmetrical thread. Everything you make comes out better than you are.
• Patatap toyEvery key is a sound and a shape at once. There is no wrong way to play it.
• Quick, Draw! toyDraw badly against a clock while a neural network guesses out loud. It is better at this than you will be.
• Random Street View vistaDropped at street level somewhere on Earth at random. Usually a road in a country you could not have named.
• Deep Sea toyScroll down from the surface and keep going. Every creature turns up at the depth it actually lives at, and the bottom is much further than you expect.
